I’m a bit behind the times as I haven’t really gone into that topic since I was a graduate student, but I’ve got the basics covered… Maroon Societies by Richard Price, Against the Odds: Free Blacks in the Slave Societies of the Americas, by Jane G. Landers, and a few others.
